Review of City of God (2002) by Hannah G — 15 May 2013
This was one of he greatest movies I have ever seen. Every event that happens keeps an audience wondering what the next scene will bring to them. The whole story line is an incredible piece of art, and the way it keeps a watcher on the edge of their seats is great.
The reality of the entire film surprises you at first, but then you realize that this is what it's like for real in Rio. Not just in Rio, but the slums of Rio. The most real part of this entire film is the obsession with drugs.
Something like what we saw in this film happens every day on a normal basis. Though the outcomes of the plot(s) were shocking, the angle was perfect because it drew even more of an audience in.
