Cidade de Deus is the most prominent of "coming of age" movies I've ever seen or probably ever made. It's vivid depiction of the cycle of violence that goes in every stage of humanity is ingenious.
The movie is a masterpiece and you won't get any better than this when it comes to drama and violence. To anyone who is reading this review put this movie to your "Movies I will see before I die", Cidade de deus is a movie which every adult should watch at-least once even if you require subtitles to understand it.
