This movie is a real film. It's narrative film style keeps your eyes glued to its unparalleled violence. It's cast of generally unknown actors make it even more real and fascinating especially knowing that some of the actors lived to see events that take place in the movie.
After five minutes I guarantee you will forget you are watching a foreign film and become transfixed on the shocking subject matter. It also helps that the film takes place in Rio in some of the most beautiful slums in the world.
