Preposterous. I give it two stars because the sets were outstanding, influenced by City of Lost Children, in some ways. But the story makes no sense, and the writers/director have done nothing to deal with the myriad of unanswerable questions that arise throughout the piece.
Jagged editing, huge leaps in time and plot, it's a messy, messy affair that just happens to be gorgeous to look at. A lot of wasted potential, in my opinion.
