Review of City of Ember (2008) by Paul C — 27 Nov 2009
I did enjoy this movie. It was suppose to have more of a fantasy outlook on life, but I really wish it had more. The movie was suppose to combine fantasy and reality, but more in the future. But parts got confusing when things popped up that you could not explain in your head.
The cast was pretty decent for the film. Saoirse Ronan and Harry Treadaway did great as the two heroes or explorers for the film. The side characters where some pretty big names from Hollywood, but sadly did not do a decent acting job.
I would be talking about Bill Murray and Tim Robbins. But overall the movie did have a nice little story line, I guess wish there was more to it to help explain the little parts that made you think, "what?".
So this is a good film to watch if you just need a small fix of fantasy.
