Review of City of Ember (2008) by Greco W — 31 Dec 2009
An unfairly overlooked steampunky kids film. It's more original and unexpected than most others of the same genre. It may not be a great film but is not as bad as the rest that come out every year.
I liked the production design a lot, it was very reach and palpable. Maybe it's just because both are steampunk stories, but this seemed to borrow a lot of the aesthetics from Jeunet's City of Lost Children.
