Review of City of Angels (1998) by Zheng J — 02 Oct 2010
I am a Meg Ryan fan, but this movie is disappointing. I am not Nicolas Cage fan (I don't dislike him), and that is part of my disappointment, but there is more. Is it really worth giving up immorality for love of a person, even the best mortal? I ed not convinced by this movie, not that Ms Ryan's character was flawed, just unconvincing as a trade for immortality.
Plus the plot of the movie is thin and Cage is not at his best.
