Review of City Lights (2014) by Calvin C — 21 Apr 2012
Chaplin is comic gold in this great romantic comedy. The gags are clever and funny, and the relationship between his Tramp and a sweet blind girl he falls for is genuine and heartfelt. You root for these two to make it despite all the bad things that prevent it from happening. No worries though, the final sequence is what movies are all about.
Grade: A.
