Review of City Lights (2014) by Kyle T — 06 Aug 2014
The perfect movie, Chaplin refused to switch to sound and produced a film that proved that you need sound to tell a story and make you laugh.
When the Little Tramp falls in love with a blind girl he does everything he can to raise money for her to have surgery to restore her sight. He also befriends a drunk rich man who only likes him when he's drunk. One of the stand out scenes is one of the funniest boxing scenes put on film. And to top everything else City Lights has one of the best endings to a film.
Do yourself a favor and check out this gem.
