Review of City Lights (1931) by Joe L — 07 Dec 2008
Chaplin's strategy was to take his talent for orchestrating visual gags and offset it with an emotional story. many see this as his best, but for me it stands on par with both 'the kid,' and 'the gold rush,' in which he's playing different arrangements of the same symphony.
