Review of City Lights (1931) by Kevin S — 09 Sep 2013
Spoiler Alert: Chaplin's chewing on his finger when he reunites with the now-seeing girl is definitely a tear-choking moment, and one of the best acted moments in the history of cinema. The movie is great, I'd sort of cooled on Chaplin, but watching this again made me renew my love for the guy.
Partly hilarious (his scenes with Harry Myers is great) and part emotional tugger, this is one that will just live on and on.
