Don't let the cliche poster fool you like it did me. A family full of drama and secrets, "City Island" unfolds like a Shakespearean comedy of misunderstandings (witty observation Ted) unveiled in a gut busting third act.
It's not the best movie I've seen this year, but hit all the right spots perfectly. The best medicine for dealing with a dysfunctional family from the Bronx is laughter and sincerity. Its quite the lovable crowd pleasing!
