Michael Caton-Jones directed this movie pretty well, but I have to say that Robert De Niro made this movie, although I have to say James Franco gave some good-ass acting too! City by the sea is about Vincent Lamarca(Robert De Niro), whose father was executed for a 1950s kidnapping of a child, then he grew up to become a police officer, only to see his own son become a murderer.
..but through a couple twists and turns,everthing works out for the better!
