A must see for any citizen who wants to be aware of the state of the world and of his freedom-erosion, and of the evolution of his freedoms in this world. Not only is it absolutely "sui generis in the history of cinema: a 100% real-life thriller unfolding minute by minute before our eyes." But it is also beautifully filmed and directed. It should be a model in any school of Film/Photojournalism with such little means as the remarkable documentary.
The way Laura Poltras shoots her subject and his surroundings is remarkable. The way she weaves in the News also is wonderful. The edit is supreme. The music always espouses the inner mood and tensions. It is a remarkable film which enhances your civivc consciousness, but also marvels your aesthetic sense-a rare feet.
The protagonist Snowden who is only 29 hers old is so articulate and clear in his intentions to become a whistle-blower for the defense of OUR freedom against the rampant totalitarianism of the STATE that he does become a MODERN DAY ROBIN HOOD. But it is the message which is the Robin Hood. That this cyber civil espionage is like a "hydra' which can retrace all our acts going forward and back for political nd economic ends is unacceptable.
It is more than a film just about Snowden. It is a film about modern-day supremacy of civil espionage and the breaking down of our fundamental freedom.
