Review of Citizenfour (2014) by Jacob T — 09 Jan 2015
To describe this is really pointless, because the actual point is to just watch and discover the truth that is waiting for you. Seriously, just watch it. But if you're not so convinced, I will digress.
To start, it changed my overall perspective on the main character of this documentary, Edward Snowden. He worked for the CIA, and decided to tell all of the government's dirty secrets they were hiding from the American people, to Laura Poitras.
Poitras is also the director and cinematographer, and does both very well. (Vertical format movies when?!) He really was just trying to enlighten everyone on what was happening behind closed doors. Yet he was regarded as America's traitor.
When in reality, he actually is a hero. I reiterate, watch this movie as soon as possible.
