Citizen Soldier is about a group of everyday civilians in Oklahoma's National Guard who selflessly leave their jobs and families to fight on the front lines in the most dangerous parts of Afghanistan during post-9/11.

I think that the interviews of the soldiers throughout the film were a great addition. They gave a personal and intimate look in to what the soldiers were actually feeling during their time abroad. The film is not only a tribute to our troops, but shows the brotherhood and love between the men and women and their commitment to one another.

I have so much more appreciation for the sacrifice that these ordinary civilians make to fight for our country. I thought it was a unique and powerful film that is absolutely worth the watch.
