Review of Citizen Kane (1941) by Dylan P — 21 Apr 2016
There's two kinds of directorial styles-those before Citizen Kane and those after Citizen Kane. The only films from before this one that have any shot choices that are nearly as mind-blowing as the ones here are those of directors like Fritz Lang and Sergei Eisenstein.
The brilliantly complex and intelligent script, the incredible music, pitch perfect acting and groundbreaking and creative cinematography=one of the greatest films in human history.
