Review of Citizen Kane (1941) by Søren H — 21 Oct 2012
So good I bought the 70th Anniversary Blu-Ray. The beginning of the Noir era, the first film to break the Hollywood cycle of shooting a film, ingenious lighting and superb acting/directing from Orson Welles shows that with a little courage, you can change the face of something that has prior stood the test of time and become the standard.
There's no better film than this simply because it doesn't exist. No other writer director invested so much of his time into creating something that stands out both in context of when it was made, but also in the history of cinema.
