Review of Citizen Kane (1941) by Ross L — 27 Oct 2012
Plain and simple, it looked great, but the plot was generally boring. When a director sets up a mystery so grandly, you expect there to be a bigger ending. And I wasn't even interested or satisfied by the character's development throughout the movie since there wasn't much of one. Orson Welles playing a guy with a big ego which eventually leads to his downfall is still funny to me. Do you think Welles was delusional to the fact that he had a big ego in real life or just ran with it? Please don't hate me cinephiles.
