Review of Citizen Kane (1941) by Eric M — 07 Feb 2013
A lot of what makes this great includes the techniques employed, such as deep focus photography, and the beautiful cinematography. I'm not sure If I would call this the best movie of all time (I think the top 5 on the AFI top 100 could all be switched around as equally great movies), but it's hard to say something is the best in a history of cinema.
I will say that it is a nigh perfect movie and told in such an inventive way that would influence cinema to this very day. Beautiful!
