Review of Citizen Kane (1941) by Justin W — 31 Mar 2013
What can I say that hasn't been said? This is a perfect film. Every frame, character, word of dialogue, and setting has a point. If you have seen other films from the 30's and early 40's, this film has a way different look.
You don't feel claustrophobic while watching it, the film explores its surroundings. This is the defining point of cinema, the first major step into what a filmmaker can do with his work.
