Review of Citizen Kane (1941) by Kate M — 03 Jun 2013
Citizen Kane is a cinematographic masterpiece. If you've been watching films from as early as the 1930s, right through until today, you'll understand how ahead of its time 'Citizen Kane' was. Orson Welles must be considered a pioneer for all the wizardry that went into this film with techniques still used today.
What about the story? Thought-stimulating and enjoyable. The film is a giant mystery that is cleverly crafted...unlike the pretentious hoo-hah that we are subjected to in today's theatres.
