Review of Citizen Kane (1941) by Anthony P — 27 Jul 2014
"Rosebud...".
Considered "the greatest film ever made", and it really proves itself that it really is.
Citizen Kane is incredibly flawless in every way. Compelling characters, complex, nonlinear and thought-provoking narrative, impressive camera shots and angles, carefully used lights and shadows, etc. Kane is inventive and extremely influential to cinema.
Orson Welle's masterpiece towers powerfully over every other film before and after it and stands proudly as one of greatest achievements of its medium.
