Review of Citizen Kane (1941) by Joe S — 26 Dec 2013
I don't know what I can say about this film that hasn't already been said. Right from the beginning I was impressed with the gorgeous camerawork and lighting. Each shot was truly beautiful to look at.
It was very evident that somebody spent a lot of time and effort getting the lights and shadows to look right, and it makes the movie great to look at. Each actor plays their role to perfection, especially a young Orson Welles.
I don't know if it is the best movie ever, I don't think there is a best movie ever nor will there ever will be. I think "best" is a matter of opinion and not a definite term. However it is a true classic and definitely worth a watch.
