Review of Citadel (2012) by Karl A — 14 Apr 2013
A fantastic horror picture that works well because the paranoia is steeped in gritty reality before introducing the bizarre. The unique setting (three massive decaying tower blocks looming over a vast wasteland spotted with a few empty rundown neighborhoods) is memorable for its extreme isolation.
I'm not sure why Tower Block urban-violence has become a sort of sub-genre, but this one is certainly a worthwhile entry.
