Review of Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009) by Doron S — 28 Aug 2012
I came into this movie with very high anticipation and saying that I was dissapointed is an understatement by far. I tried to enjoy it, I really did but the adaption cut corners and made so many liberations that it was hard to tell that it even originated from Darren Shan's classic book series.
It's not that it was bad as an adaption (which it was) it was also just bad as a movie. The acting wasn't too terrible but the way the story was presented and the pacing and everything just fleshed out made it ultimately fail as a movie.
I really hope that in a few years that Warner Brothers or some other company would consider remaking it to make it more faithful.
