When I first saw this movie, it was very entertaining & creative. I absolutely adored it! Then I discovered the movie was based off a teens' book series, called the Cirque Du Freak series. Since I loved the movie so much, I though 'why not try the book series?' I remeber seeing other reviews online saying that the movie was horrible and I didn't understand why.

After reading the book series (I am currently on book 7 out of 12), I understood completely why people down-graded this movie & why most called it awful. The book series is 100% better than the movie! The movie was awful compared to the books! It was so bad, the movie didn't even get the characters' names right.

I still enjoy the movie because I watched it before reading the books. If you are thinking about watching this movie, I HIGHLY suggest reading at least the 1st book out of the Cirque Du Freak series before watching.

If you're not the reading type, then go ahead & just watch the movie. I just don't suggest reading the books after you've already seen the movie. You'll enjoy the books A LOT more than the movie, so the books will probably ruin the greatness of the movie after watching it first.
