Review of Circus Kane (2017) by Jared B — 24 Apr 2018

I watched this film on Amazon Prime recently and it was slightly better than what I expected. Let me get this out, it is not a very great film. It takes the Saw formula and completely flushes it down the toilet.

Circus Kane though has some pretty creative kills and some competent acting, mainly from the main antagonist Kane. The cinematography is complete garbage, the lighting is off and feels like a homemade film.

I understand it is on a shoestring budget, but the way it was shot could have been much better. The premise is also shoddy as well, conveniently multiple people get the chance to get $250,000 if they stay overnight.

It is a text message and somehow they are so naive that they trust this. The ending is also fairly predictable and underwhelming. Though I give it two stars for the entertainment value alone, a guilty pleasure for me.
