Review of Circle (2015) by Sarah D — 09 Oct 2016
If you like the genre of psychological movies with one-word titles, like Cube or Exam, this is worth a watch. Otherwise, don't bother. It hit all the relevant social debates (contribution to society, right to live, sin, prejudices), but in a super formulaic and scripted way.
The characters' reactions to their situation seem inhumanly calm, too--not just once they are in the room but in regards to the situation that put them in the room. The open ending leaves a lot of space for speculation without any guidance towards an answer.
