Review of Cinemania (2002) by Sv G — 07 Jul 2007
An interesting documentary on five people from NYC who are more than a little obsessive with movies. One of them explains how their family has had to learn to understand he doesn't go to funerals or weddings or family functions because it would mean a day or part of a day he would be missing movies he could have otherwise seen.
This is how all 5 of these characters live their life. Not a one of them works for a living, nor do their passion for the movies support them in any way. Two live off an inheritance and one is elderly and lives off of her social security and two are on disability.
It was interesting to see what they go through each day to see all the movies that they do, however I would have liked more back-story on all of them to try and understand why and how they came to be "Cinemaniacs".
Overall though it was fun.
