Review of Cinema Paradiso (1988) by Suse B — 09 May 2009
Recommended by one of my Friends, I avoided this movie for quite a while because of its length ,its a italian movie about a boy's passion for movies and his friendship with the projectionist Alfredo.
Its a movie of a life time. Salvatore a.k.a Toto in his childhood is so adorable and at the same time delivers one of the most dynamic performance as a child artist. Besides it length I had no complains about this movie , but I watched the director's cut, the original version is just about 2 hrs whereas the director's cut is almost 3 hrs long.
I reccommend you the Director's cut because the character development and the moments in this movie are outstanding , they will stay with you even long after you have watched the movie.
