Review of Cinema Paradiso (1988) by Alexander L — 21 May 2010
Cinema Paradiso can best be described as simple perfection in that it appeals to any kind of person at any age and will undoubtedly evoke the many emotions the movie forces you to feel, including extreme happiness and love at some points and immense sorrow at others.
Everything seems to be appealing about the movie whether it's the wonderful yet complex characters or the quaint post WWI world that the characters live in. While watching it's impossible not to get involved in the characters and the story whether that's feeling the love Salvatore has for Alfredo or the nostalgia Salvatore feels when thinking back on his childhood.
For any movie fan this is a must see.
