Review of Cinema Paradiso (1988) by Anthony L — 25 Jul 2012
Cinema Paradiso is a beautifully told tale of true friendship, hardship, romance and the love for cinema. Personally, I saw the 2 hours and 45 minute version of the film and loved every second of it. From the beautiful landscape shots to the enchanting kissing shot in the rain, the film is a masterpiece. When I watch this movie, it reminds me of The Tree of Life in the way that both films are true art. The cinematography is masterfully done. Some of the scenes were among some of the most emotional i've ever seen. If you love cinema and films, you'll definitely love Cinema Paradiso.
Favourite Scene: The very end scene when Salvatore is watching what Alfredo left him.
