Review of Cinema Paradiso (1988) by Jonathan H — 13 Aug 2012
A love letter to all things cinema with a central relationship between two characters which creates a truly emotional story. However Cinema Paradiso is let down by it's continuous need to exaggerate it's circumstances of being film making key moments and relationships seem artificial not giving the audience the emotional ties they need.
However that doesn't detract much from what is essentially a beautiful film about the love for cinema.
