One a my weaknesses are italian films....I think it has something to do with many of them referring back to a long gone time of romance and 'purer' lifestyles...I'm a sucker for nostalgia when it's presented in a proper way... Noiret is wonderful as the (grand)father figure as is the young Toto!
Nevertheless, I feel the film did present a plentiful amount of parodic scenes which hindered me in really getting it under my skin. Not until the famous last scene, did I have to blow my nose.....I actually prefer Tonatores Malena..
