I love, love this film! if you're making a film about loving movies, it better be good and this film just surpasses all my expectations. Cinema Paradiso is about friendship, love and the joys of film, making and watching it.
There's nothing over-the-top in this film, everything's done just right... like really great Italian pasta. it has stellar performances from its actors, incredibly potent writing and a life-changing score by master composer Ennio Morricone.
I wouldn't want to give away the details of this film, but if you are a film lover, you have to watch this. it is absolutely mandatory and magical. catch it on director's cut, and it will be almost 3 hours of your life well-spent.
