One of my favourite and most treasured foreign films. I first studied this in year 11 literature and fell in love with the characters and their relationships. A richly written and directed film that captures a period of life in Italy and the ultimate power of movie magic.
The montage of film cuts pasted together is simplistic yet breathtaking and beautiful.
