Review of Cinderfella (1960) by John A — 27 Aug 2014
Director Frank Tashlin & Star Jerry Lewis Sadly Dilute Their Comic Talents For This Male Equivalent Of The Classic Fairy Tale Cinderella. The Slapstick Is Average At Best, The Script Isn't That Great And Jerry Lewis, Just Doesn't Look Comfortable At Points.
However What Were Left With Is An Entertaining Film Which Is Sadly Below Lewis' Standards, And Is Meant As More Of A Kids Film. The Film Is Riddled With Unnecessary Production Numbers And Scenes, Which Seem To Have Been Inserted, So That The Film Doesn't Appear Too Short.
One For Die Hard Jerry Lewis Fans.
