James Braddock's story is both inspiring and incredible, and even more so because it is mostly true. Imagine my shock when I heard that Braddock actually gave back the relief money he received after he was paid for boxing.
What?! That is totally awesome! I was skeptical of this movie at first because it appeared to be a soft-sided Rocky-like movie, but it turned out to be genuine, well-performed, and truly engaging. Superb film.
