Review of Cinderella Man (2005) by James B — 20 Aug 2010
The best boxing film I have seen. Great narrative which shows the true courage of a man who wanted to make his family proud and motivate a country in the worse state it has ever been. Great performances from all, particulalrly Giamatti it has to be said.
The fighting sequences were well filmed, the fight actually looked real to me. Ron Howard seems to very good at making biopics which include a fascinating narrative, well structured and entertaining film.
A must for any boxing fans or anyone who enjoys films set in this time period of America.
