Review of Cinderella III: A Twist in Time (2007) by Courtney S — 22 Jan 2012
This should have been titled Cinderella II from the beginning, and it's a shame that it took Disney Toon Studios two tries to get it right. Still, what's done is done and this film is very enjoyable, even challenging the original film in that sense.
I loved all four of the villain characters from the 1950 film and it was a blast to see them all return for a second chance at villainy. The only flaw I can find in regards to this is that I wish they'd elaborated more on Drizella's character, who, just like in the first sequel, seems to be left out in the background.
It's funny that Cinderella is the main character, yet I couldn't help but feel more for Anastasia throughout the movie. It almost makes me feel bad that Disney Toon Studios stopped producing sequels just when their quality was beginning to improve (though "The Fox and the Hound II" was a return to utter failure).
