It has the ambition and attention to detail Disney hasn't given to a sequel since The Rescuers Down Under. Frank Nissen was able to make something decent out of ~$8 million. Why hasn't Disney put him on something else?
When The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, 101 Dalmatians, and many other Disney classics were given third-rate trash for sequels, Cinderella III proved to be an odd exception.
