Review of Cinderella (2021) by Swatimandal — 06 Sep 2021
Don't know why people are disliking this movie so much but I would definitely say it's the best version of Cinderella. Earlier Cinderella's life definitely ends by marrying a guy but in this movie the self establishment of woman will inspire greatly to a lot of teen girls.
Besides this is kind of a remake of that older version of Cinderella so it's expected that the most of the main storyline will remain same. Don't know why people are expecting a whole different thing from this movie.
But I really liked it. Loved those songs of Camila and Idina. And personally I really believe that some of the fairytales need to be modified in order to fit on the modern generation or it will be left only as an option for children not for grown ups anymore.
This movie has done the job very efficiently. Loved that they casted a man for a godmother. And I surprised to see the stepmother and stepdaughters as they are not that much mean and jealous of no reason like the original version, rather they are trying to understand each other's situations, specifically it's shown why and what situation made them loose their dream and made heartless.
I really really longed for this kind of modifications, containing no violence or hate speech of no reason. And finally to wrap up, everyone can watch this movie irrespective of their age and also those who still nurtures the child in them.
