Whats most refreshing about this retelling of Disney's Cinderella is just how straight Branagh and co play it. Resisting the temptation to update the story or take a revisionist view of the material we are left with a beautifully crafted, handsomely mounted fairytale that will delight children new to the story and charm adults raised on the original animated film.
