Review of Cinderella (2015) by Donya-Alivya D — 11 May 2015
When I was a child, Cinderella was one of my favorite Disney Movies. So I was glad to see that they were remaking this classic. Although I appreciated seeing the additional backstory on each of the characters, I felt that this version of Cinderella could have been.
.. more. I've seen and read many different versions and interpretations of this story and I felt that this time around film writers and directors could have reimagined Cinderella in a way that made her more relatable, representative, and complex.
Although Disney has recently been showing the more human side of villains, many of the heroes are still bland and one dimensional. So overall, this movie was nice, but not inspiring and unforgettable.
