Review of Cinderella (2015) by Vanda K — 16 Jul 2015
Cate Blanchett is dazzling as the evil stepmother! Clearly steals the show from Lilly James. The photography and the animation is a real eye candy. The characters remained a bit one dimensional though (one main characteristic per character) but I can still forgive that cause the movie doesn't take itself too seriously.
They also added a bit of a backstory and explain better how Cinderella became a servant. I love Kenneth Branagh's directing style. It is a fairy tale and you can't and don't even want to expect more than that.
It's funny to see Robb Stark in white pants :D Oh, and watch out for the sexual methaphors. ;).
