Review of Cinderella (2013) by Amanda C — 22 May 2015
A delightful piece of eye candy, Lily James absolutely glows as Cinderella. The girl has screen presence to burn and more than holds her own against the incomparable Cate Blanchett. The rest of the cast is nothing to write home about other than Helena Bonham Carter's quirky fairy godmother.
There is nothing new here, the film is faithful to the Disney original although unfortunately minus the scenes with the mice and cat. If mindless fluff is what you're looking for, you could do worse.
