Candy of a movie, admirably faithful to it's roots while still giving some much needed depth to characters like the prince, it's a constant light-hearted delight. Cate Blanchett is typically amazing but gets to show a more menacing side that we haven't really seen before.
It truly is refreshing to have a movie that compliments the childhood classic rather than oppose and compete with it.
