Review of Ciao (2008) by Roxanne R — 28 Feb 2011

Good but sad motion picture about long distance relationships and unexpected events. The film revolves around two strangers â" Adam Neal Smith as Jeff and Alessandro Calza as Andrea â" who become acquaintances after the death of a mutual friend (Mark) who dies in a car accident.

Jeff mourns Mark's death and copes the best way he can with prescribed medication. The movie picks up somewhat with the introduction of Andrea, an Italian who hoped to consummate his and Markâ(TM)s online flirtation with a visit to the States.

Jeff was going through Mark's emails to inform his friends that he has passed away and upon emailing Andrea of his death, Andrea emails back saying he had purchased a plane ticket hoping to meet Mark after the online relationship.

Jeff suggests that Andrea stick to his travel plans. He does, and you can guess the rest...Its kind of a slow movie but it kept me interested and hopeful that Andrea and Jeff may become a couple. Sometimes online relationship can bring hope and joy to two lonely people and upon that first meeting face to face it could be fireworks.

This motion picture its not for the masses, but I liked it and recommend it!
