Review of Chungking Express (1994) by Sooty M — 14 Sep 2008
This might be my favorite WKW movie since it achieves a nice balance of dramatic and comedic elements in a yin and yang way, that is, the depressing, dramatic side of it occurs in a story separate from the light, comedic yet intelligent story, both of which connect to the same snack stall.
This is the first movie I've seen Lin Qing Xia in and I approached the film with a great sense of anticipation. However, it was Faye Wong that blew me away and I look forward to seeing her in more movies!
